Telegraph Cove Resort receives the 2017 Vancouver Island Business Excellence Award

Telegraph Cove Resort Ltd has been named “Business of the Year” and was awarded with the 2017 Vancouver Island Business Excellent Award in the Hospitality & Tourism Industry category.

I am extremely proud to receive this prestigious award, and my congratulations go out to our entire team. This reflects our leading role in the tourism development of the Island and awards our ongoing efforts to move the resort and the North Island Tourism in general into the future ” commented Gordie Graham, owner of Telegraph Cove Resort during the award ceremony.

The Gala Dinner and Award Celebration was held last night in the Delta Ocean Pointe Resort in Victoria, where the winners were chosen among the 83 finalists.

” This was one of the deepest and most diverse set of finalists we have ever seen yet”, says Business Examiner magazine editor Mark MacDonald, ” the scope and variety of what these businesses do is mind boggling. It’s simply amazing”.

Telegraph Cove Resort has recently announced plans to increase its bed base and to expand resort sales further into the national and international markets.

The Grahams purchased the former sawmill and fish cannery village some 38 years ago and have since turned it into a world-class tourism destination. Whale watchers, fishermen, boaters, campers and kayakers enjoy the many activities the region has to offer, and Telegraph Cove is often referred to as the whale watching capital of Canada. The resort is also the gateway to spectacular grizzly bear viewing opportunities into Knight Inlet.
